No new confirmed cases of Ebola were reported last week for the first time since May 26, 2014, WHO announced.
During the week, 277 samples were tested by the five operational laboratories in Liberia and none of them came back with positive results for Ebola. If the country passed through the requisite 42 days with no new cases reported, the end to Ebola transmission could be declared, said WHO.
